The
CAM VI DF
(Computer Administered Modular Distribution Frame) is a high density, low profile,
modular, sheet metal, main distribution frame. The CAM VI provides single-sided, one
person jumper administration for a male-base protector module configurations.
The CAM VI distribution frame may be used as a
protected Main Distribution Frame in medium to large (4,000 to over 200,000 lines)
electronic or digital central office exchanges.

The CAM VI frame consists of the following
assemblies:
-
A protector frame assembly capable of protecting
and terminating 6,400 outside plant cable pairs, plus terminating 1,600 miscellaneous
pairs. The protector frame assembly measures 40.25" (102.2 cm) wide and 20.25"
(51.4 cm) deep.

A central office equipment frame assembly capable
of terminating up to 5,120 exchange equipments. The frame dimension are 25.75" (65.4
cm) wide and 20.25" (51.4 cm) deep.

A vertical trough assembly used to accommodate
the interconnecting wire jumpers between the two frame assemblies. The vertical channel
assembly is 12" (30.5 cm) wide and 20.25" (51.4 cm) deep.

The CAM VI frame assemblies are all 96"
(243.8 cm) high. The top support bracket adds an additional 3"
(7..6 cm)to the height.
508PC51 protector blocks are installed on the
rear of the protector frame. The associated PTS terminal blocks are pre-cabled and mounted
on the front. The terminal blocks are available with either wire wrap or quick-clip
terminals. The blocks mount in eight columns of eight blocks each.
The CAM VI Equipment Frame utilizes one working
side, consisting of ten horizontal shelves each accommodating either five 100-pair or four
128-pair terminal blocks.
