The CAM IV frame has 10 shelves and is 96"
high. The CAM V frame has 8 shelves and is 80.5" high. The top support bracket adds
an additional 3" to the height of each frame. Both the CAM IV and CAM V frame units
consist of three separate assemblies:

The protector frame assembly is 40.25" (102.2cm) wide and 20.25" (51.44cm) deep. The CAM IV protector frame provides
capability for terminating 8,000 OSP Cable pairs. The CAM V can terminate/protect 6,400
pairs.

The equipment frame assembly is 25.75"
(64.4 cm) wide and 20.25" (51.4 cm) deep. The CAM IV equipment frame is capable of
terminating 5,120 exchange equipments. The CAM V frame can terminate 4,096 exchange
equipments.

A vertical trough assembly which handles the
interconnecting wire jumpers between the two frame assemblies is 12" (30.5 cm) wide
and 20.25" (51.44 cm) deep.

The protector frame is double sided. The
protected connector blocks are installed back to back with the associated cross connection
terminal block. It is designed to mount eighty 100 pair Model 508PC1/PTS-100 block
assemblies. The 508PC1 connector blocks are mounted on the rear of the frame in eight
columns of ten blocks each. The factory cabled PTS-100 Terminal Blocks are mounted
opposite their respective connector blocks on the front side of the frame on ten
horizontal shelves, eight across.
The exchange equipment frame assembly has only
one working side and consists of ten horizontal shelves each of which accommodate either
five 100 pair or four 128 pair terminal blocks. Upper and lower express troughs are
provided for those wire jumpers which must be extended beyond adjacent frames.
