Porta Systems'  BlockTAM is a multi-purpose connector block for distribution frames.  Test Access Matrix (TAM) modules incorporated in the design of the block, offer expanded, and unattended, testing capabilities. 

The BlockTAM is designed to carry services of speeds up to ADSL2+.

Solid State and Micro-switching technology provides fast and reliable test access in various modes. The BlockTAM architecture is unique in that it enables existing BlockTAMs to be modularly expanded in line with DSLAM growth. Additional BlockTAMs are simply daisy-chained to the existing units.

Ultra low capacitance solid state protector technology allows for improved protection performance on DSL and other high frequency circuits.

• Access matrix offers four modes of connectivity: Normal, Sniff (Bridged), Equipment Test (IN),
  and Distribution Test (OUT) Modes.
