The 508PC51/PTS-100 Connector Block Assembly consists of a 508PC51 connector block factory wired to a PTS-100 Terminal Block with a 22" (55.8 cm) service cable. The 508PC51 is an ultra-high density, protector block that uses five-pin protector modules.

The PTS-100 Terminal Block is available with three kinds of terminations:

High Density Mounting
The 508PC51/PTS-100 is designed for use on the CAM VI Distribution Frame and Mini-CAM. The 508PC51 protector block mounts on the rear of the CAM VI protector frame in eight columns of eight blocks. The block terminates the I00 pairs in 11" (27.9 cm) of vertical space. The PTS- I00 blocks are "fed through" and mounted eight across on the front side of the frame on eight horizontal shelves, opposite their respective protector blocks.

The 508PC51 protector blocks and the PTS-100 terminal blocks mount on the front of the Mini-CAM Distribution Frame. The Mini-CAM's OSP blocks mount in a single column: two 508PC51 blocks, four PTS100 blocks, and two 508PC51 blocks, The blocks terminate 100 pairs in 11" (27.9 cm) of vertical space, The 508PC51 blocks are available pre-wired to the PTS-100 blocks. In addition, the 508PC51 block is available with or without a pre-attached OSP cable stub.

Variety of Protection
The 508PC51 protector block accommodates the full family of five-pin protector modules, with or without heat coil/sneak current protection.

Designation Area
The 508PC51/PTS-100 Connector Block Assemblies include an identification card which mounts between verticals, in order to identify cable numbers and pair counts.

Module Detent Feature
The protector modules may be partially removed to the "detent" position. In this position, the outside plant pair is disconnected from the line equipment while remaining fully protected.

Test Points
The 508PC51/PTS-100 assemblies accommodate "C" type protector modules. These modules are ordered separately and provide integral test points in the cap of the protector module. These modules eliminate the need for an external test field on the connector block.

Replacement Pins
All wire wrap pins are field replaceable.

Stubbing
The 508PC51 is available with a factory pre-attached outside plant cable stub. When ordering stub cables, wire gauge, cable length and whether the block is top or bottom stubbed must be specified.
